Physical therapists (PTs) help injured or disabled patients restore and maintain maximum movement, restore mobility and relieve pain.
They develop treatment programs and work with their patients until the desired outcomes are achieved. Physical therapy is performed by a physical therapist or a physical therapy assistant (PTA) working under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
